Rapper Bun B, born Bernard Freeman, is one of the most successful rappers to hail from Houston, Texas. He was also one half of the rap group Underground Kingz. Bun B teaches twice a week at Rice University, in Houston, where he teaches a Humanities class twice a week on Hip-Hop and Religion.
in the late 1980s, Bun B and a friend had their own rap group called P.A. Militia. Eventually, they joined forces with the rap group Underground Kingz to form a new group, 4 Black Ministers. Two members left the group, leaving Pimp C and Bun B. Their demo caught the attention of a Houston independent label called Big Tyme Records and they released a record which caught the attention of Jive Records. Although many of their songs were too explicit, the song “Pocket Full of Stones” was their first song to get major airplay. The group would release four studio albums before Pimp C was sentenced to jail on a gun charge.

Trill OG: The Epilogue was released in November 2013 and a tour followed in January 2014.
