Joan Rivers as a comedian, talk show host, actress, screenwriter, and television producer. She was born June 8, 1933 in New York. She was born to Jewish parents. Joan was born Joan Molinsky and changed her name to Rivers for her comedy act. Joan died August 28, 2014. At the time of her death she was worth around 150 million dollars.
Joan was married to James Sanger but that marriage only last six months. Sanger did not want children. Joan later married Edgar Rosenberg and they had a child named Melissa. Later Melissa would join Joan and host television shows with her. Rosenberg killed himself back in 1987 and she did not remarry. She described her marriage as a sham.
Joan earned a degree in English and worked at Rockefeller Center. After work she would put on her comedy show. People took notice of Joan.
