Migos is a hip hop trio based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The group consists of Quavo (Quavious Marshall), Takeoff (Kirshnik Ball), and Offset (Ktari Cephus). The three family members – Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle and Offset is Quavo’s cousin – are managed by Coach K, former manager of Gucci Mane.
In 2013, their single “Versace” went viral after rapper Drake joined them to do a remix of the song. Later, Migos released their mixtape, Y.R.N., and Spin Magazine gave it 8 out of 10 stars. The success of the single earned #69 on Rolling Stone’s “The 100 Best Songs of 2013.” In addition, their album was ranked #27 for “Best Album of 2013.”

In February 2014, the trio released a new mixtape, No Label 2. It went certified gold within the first week, after being downloaded over 100,000 times. Vibe Magazine called the album impressive. In June 2014, the single “Fight Night” was released and is their most successful song to date.
In 2015, Migos released “One Time”, a single from their new album Yung Rich Nation. Shortly after its release, there was an incident at Georgia Southern University after a performance. The group was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of firearms. Unfortunately, Offset was not released with the others due to additional charges of battery and attacking another inmate. He was denied bond, based on his prior criminal history. As of December 4, 2015, Offset has was finally released.
In 2014, Migos was nominated for three BET Hip Hop Awards and one BET Award in 2015. The group has its own clothing line called Migos Brand.
